Cool Companies

Here, we decided to drop in a section for a the companies we encountered along the way, which deserve a highlight.

EZY Rentals EZY Rentals is an independent place where we rented a car in Auckland, New Zealand. They even offer us discounts for the North-South island ferry. Awesome service.

InfoTrack Info & Track is a little company in Queenstown, New Zealand, which organizes transport for various hikes in the area. Not only had they good information about the weather, and the DOC nearby, but they got us the the Routeburn Track in a timely manner. Woohoo. :)

Waitomo Discover Waitomo is a company in the Waitomo Caves region and has a range of great packages to explore the surroundings. They provide guided tours of the Ruakuri Cave, which is a great intimate tour of a 1.6km cave network with a small group of people. They also provide the Black Water rafting experience, which we haven’t tried, but must of been a blast (we’ve seen the rafters deep below pushing their way through cave rivers on small tubes, with helmets and flashlights). Also, the Glowworm Cave is another thing to definitely try, as this company provides access to one the biggest groupings of glowworms in New Zealand. Two thumbs up!!!

Waitomo Big Agnes is a great outdoors equipment company. I bought the light Seedhouse 3 tent from them and it’s been the greatest investment ever on this trip. Furthermore, having broken a tent pole while in New Zealand (from jumping on it), the support staff sent me a new one free of charge when I asked for it. With the new pole we are able to see the rest of Australia. Thanks Big Agnes!!! Highly recommend these guys.

Sensis Sensis took me on board for 3 months to help out with user interface design work on the Australian Yellow Pages web site. I had a chance to work alongside some great people. The Melbourne experience wouldn’t of been the same without these guys. Great place to work for. Would definitely try to stay longer if I only could.

Yellow Water Yellow Water Cruises was a great adventure in the rich wild life filled rivers of Kakadu. We took the sunrise tour at 6:45am in the morning and it was a blast!!! The amount of birds you see is astonishing, and the croc or two lurking in the waters tops off the trip.
